Fearless City Mobile

Planning meetings every Wednesday 1-3pm at Gallery Gachet. Fearless City is being launched by Gallery Gachet and the Fearless Media Cluster of the DTES Community Arts Network. It begins in April and runs for atleast one year. Participant recruitment will begin in May.

Fearless City is an open mobile community advancing storytelling, cultural expression, and social inclusion. Fearless City tactics, projects, software and gear combat digital barriers in the Downtown Eastside. With our partners, we are establishing an open source mesh network, mobile rich media file sharing, live mobile video editing, live screens in public spaces, redistribution systems for mobile devices, and commissioning mobile art. We are working collaboratively alongside DTES residents, artists, street-level bloggers, and technical and community partners. Fearless City is receiving funding from New Media BC and Mobile Muse 3.
