ARTIST BIOS

BONITTO

Bonitto has been making visual art since he was a young child. His artwork uses political imagery to explore his own personal experiences of violence, institutionalism, and poverty. Currently, he’s working on a series of hand-pulled prints.

SHARON BURNS

Sharon Burns is a photographer/videographer from Vancouver, BC. She has just mounted her second solo exhibition, The Ephemeral Outside, which documents the disappearing art created by outsider artists in the DTES.

BERNADINE FOX BFA

Bernadine Fox BFA is a visual artist and writer who lives in Vancouver BC. She is currently publishing a novel and is working on a series of paintings exploring matters of the heart. (www.bernadinefox.ca)

PETER LOJEWSKI

Peter is a visual artist who paints, draws, and creates 3-dimensional assemblage work from found materials and objects. His art is authentic carving out personal and social significance in each piece.

LAURIE MARSHALL

A prolific painter, Laurie creates new works quickly and often. Having had three solo shows at Marion Scott Gallery, he looks forward to many more at Gachet and others in the future.

QUIN MARTINS

Quin Martins is an installation artist born in New Westminster, BC. He is currently preparing for his next exhibition so keep your eyes open!

W.N. POPE - William Nelson Pope

Born in Belleville, Ontario, W.N. Pope has been drawing and painting for forty years and is represented throughout Canada. He is currently working with partially recycled paint and acrylics on glass.

KAREN WARD

Karen Ward was raised in Hamilton, Ontario but lives in East Vancouver with her cat. Her post-secondary education is in literature and history. She is a writer, photographer, builder, artist, and a proponent of neurological diversity.

C. Clarke is a poet, artist, and actress who lives in Vancouver. She is currently working on a series of oil paintings honouring the female Old Masters of Europe, as well as upcoming stage work.

Bruce Byron Ray is a writer and visual artist who creates surreal investigations of the subconscious mind. He lives in Vancouver BC and is currently publishing his first graphic novel.

matthew heinz lives in Victoria and writes poetry. He is currently working on a collection of transgender poems.
